Jackie is a Guernsey-born girl and has re-trained as a tour guide after 30 years in the finance industry. Below are some set St Peter Port walks and she is available for commission for any other area of the island. She is also able to transfer a family/group of 4 for out-of-town walking locations.

Waking The Dead

A 2.5 hour walk through St Peter Port, from Town Church uphill to Brothers Cemetery, Upland Road, Candie Cemetery, Candie Gardens and Cambridge park, downhill through les Canichers and back along the seafront to Town.

Hear historical stories about the Town cemeteries and their esteemed residents, famous and infamous. Pay tribute to Guernsey’s oldest resident who died in 1903 just short of her 111th birthday. Ever wondered how Big Sam McDonald, all of 6 ft 10 inches (Upland road stone) died? Why are the Blue mountains so called? Lastly, what ever happened to the widow and children of the last man hung in Guernsey in 1854? 

Bespoke walks

Bespoke walks can and have been created around any part of our coastline and cliff paths for any length of time, e.g Moulin Huet, Jerbourg cliff paths, Sausmarez Park and Nature trail, L’Ancresse common or Castle Cornet to name but a few. Please ask if you wish to focus on any part of Guernsey or our sister Islands of Herm or Sark
