Camilla's love of Guernsey’s history started when she was a child. She spent many weekends exploring the island with her mother, who was a Guernsey tour guide. Those early adventures inspired a lifelong interest in the people, places and stories that make Guernsey special.
Today, she combines that passion with a PhD in Archaeology and a deep knowledge of the island’s heritage. Camilla enjoys helping visitors and locals discover the stories hidden in the landscape around them. Through storytelling and local knowledge, she aims to bring Guernsey’s history to life and help people see familiar places in a new way.
Example Walks:
Beaucette to Bordeaux: A Coastline of Stories
Following the coastline from Beaucette Marina to Bordeaux Harbour, exploring hidden stories of the island’s northern shore. Along the way we uncover the area’s maritime connections, ancient tombs, nature reserves, and the industries that have shaped island life.
Anchored in Time: 5,000 Years of L’Ancresse
Discover one of Guernsey’s most remarkable landscapes, where ancient tombs, sacred sites, common land, fortifications and coastal views reveal thousands of years of human history. This walk explores how generations of islanders have used, shaped and understood this unique corner of Guernsey.
Camilla is available for bespoke tours and talks by arrangement.
