Born in Guernsey, Linda’s family can be traced back 32 generations to Guillaume de Carter-et, (c960 – 1004), Normandy. Linda enjoys sharing her knowledge of the Bailiwick, it’s heritage, language and culture.

Walk 1 - Promenades, Pelicans and Préciput

A walk starting at the New Ground, discovering the rich and colourful stories of some of the characters who lived in this prestigious area in the 19th century. This tour includes architecture, succession laws and a former workhouse.

Walk 2

Town tour in the footsteps of Victor Hugo and his friend and jurat Henry Tupper who was responsible for Guernsey’s own Telegraph service. Also hear stories of an accomplished judge, who was corrupt when matters affecting his own interests were concerned.
